Mr. Barnard began finding arrowheads as a young boy in Florida, however arrowhead hunting did not become a serious interest until he was a graduate student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the late 1960s. At the time, a guide for identifying artifacts for the region was not available to the public, so he took his finds to the Anthropology Department at UNC to be identified. This special, vintage field guide is a result of years of arrowhead finding, research, and collaboration. We hope you enjoy it, happy hunting!
