Description: A vintage sterling silver salt shaker designed by Arne Jacobsen (1902-1971) for Anton Michelsen. Sleek and simple sphere form, Danish mid-century modern style. Measures approx. 1.75"h x 2"dia, weighs approx. 59g/2oz. Good vintage condition, just light general surface wear consistent with age/use, such as light tarnish and surface scratches, and a few deeper scratches to the shaker's base underside - see pictures. Stamped on underside with "A. Michelsen, Copenhagen" and "STERLING, DENMARK" hallmarks, and some other unidentified marks. Comes with well worn plastic plug, unsure if original to shaker.
