String-tied paperback. ; Arbuckle Brothers developed the method of roasting coffee beans and then packaged them in one-pound bags, rather than the simply offering green coffee beans for the customer to roast themselves. The business grew into a massive complex situated in Brooklyn, NY. They offered trade cards in the packages, and then in 1890 reissued the trade card series in an album as an advertising premium, including descriptive text not printed on the trade cards. Fourteen unnumbered pages including the front and rear covers, all with chromolith illustrations. The twelve inner pages each contain four maps from the trade cards - all images intact except the detached lower left corner of the first two inner pages. The front cover includes a map of Palestine that was torn and is now taped; the rear cover is missing one third - affecting both the map of Brazil and the image of the company's buildings on the Brooklyn waterfront. On the reverse of the rear cover was a world map advertising Arbuckles' Ariosa Coffee, which lacks most of the eastern hemisphere and is well chipped in the margins.
