Description: This item is a pinback button or pin from the Apple Valley California Pow Wow Days Festival. It is dated August 21-22 without a year. Buttons from this event dated from at least 1970 forward show the year. So based on that as well as the style of the back of this button I think it is from the 1950's or 1960's. Using a perpetual calendar I found that in 1965 August 21 and 22 fell on Saturday and Sunday so perhaps it is from that year but I don't know. In any case it is a nice button featuring a Native American wearing a feathered headdress with the text around the perimeter. It is about 2 1/4" in diameter and has a straight prong type pin in the back. Good used condition with wear, some tarnish on the back. I am offering several other buttons from this event as well as others.
