I pre-installed Mac OS 9.2.2 on it using one of the newer installers developed by the community that supports these machines. You can install Mac OS X 10.4 or Mac OS X 10.5 on it as well. In many ways this is the ultimate Mac OS 9 machine with the upgrades that have been done to it. At the same time, the version of Mac OS 9 that runs on it needs USB audio to work well which is why I included the USB speakers. Occasionally the mouse may freeze during startup, a known bug in the hacked version of Mac OS 9.
