On 11/20/1969 Conrad & Bean made an excursion, over 600 feet to locate Surveyor 3, which landed on the Moon in 1967. They also conducted a wide ranging note experiments before lifting off the Moon on 11/20/1969 to the Command Module where Gordon remained orbiting around the Moon. The crew splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on 11/24/1969 where they were recovered by the USS Hornet. This cover was cancelled at Cape Canaveral, Fl.
