Description: APA cameo pendant pin. Made in Italy of genuine peach colored shell stone with Ivory colored relief carving of a woman and cherub-type child. Unusual subject matter. Carving is rich and detailed. Framed in gold. I do not know if it is 14K or l8K gold and I cannot read the hallmark on the back. It has a bail (bale) on the top of the cameo so it can be worn as a pendant. The pin clasp itself is 'wavy' rather than straight. It came that way.I purchased it at the APA factory in Italy in 2009 and have never worn it. It is inscribed with my name, Pamela, and signed by the artist who created the piece, Ammendola, and the date, 11/29/2009. This is an authentic stunning example of the art of cameo carving. Founded in 1848, APA is synonymous with fine cameos.
