Description: Late 1800s - early 1900s OOAK rare & unusual hand crafted Folk Art mounted figural on board. We've never seen another like it in all our travels; quite unique. It's been displayed on a garage wall well over the past 50 years by an elderly family member, an avid antique's collector & sportsman, now deceased. That's all I know about this piece. Photos taken with flash on created a shiny finish appearance which doesn't exist .. a nicely aged lifelike matte finish is what is actually seen. Honestly, whoever created this piece did one heck of a fine job. Unsure what type of metal, possibly a heavy type tin. We've spotted very old screws positioned at the lower front neck area & behind the head. Entirely hand painted with impressive realism; & very well done. This figural deer head has an equally life-like, realistic rack that looks just like bone. Mounted to a stained wood plaque that retains its old, original hanging wire. A but dusty; needs a light clean. Terrific for a cabin, lodge, man-cave, or country decor. So life-like, the realism is very good. A great Father's Day gift idea.
