Description: This wooden butter press had a beautiful patina from many many years of use. It is a 1 pound press and based on how smooth the corners are it has pressed hundreds of pounds of butter. The box is tight at the finger joints. The press face has the traditional double star pattern. The press handle at some point many years ago had a split-off from the base of the box to the top of the handle. I have included several pictures of this. This has been used so often the edges of the split are as smooth as if sanded. If you are looking for a pristine new looking butter mold this isn’t for you. But if you want a genuine well used example of how your great grandmother made butter, this is the real deal. I know because I remember my mother using one just like this 70 years ago. Please look at all of the pictures.
