Antique Wavecrest Mirror Tray CFM &Co Large Box Rococo Brass Ormolu Swivel Bevel

Description: Outstanding example of C.F.Monroe and Co. Wavecrest at its finest! This is a rare large 9 1/2 inch wide by 6 inch deep wavecrest opalware enameled glass vanity box which stands 2 1/2 inches tall. Beautifully hand decorated and fully signed on the bottom. There is brass trim around the entire top of the embosssed box. Attached to the brass trim on the back with 2 screws is a fancy ormolu frame that has a hinged swinging beveled mirror. The piece is in its original turn of the century condition excluding the silk lining it once had. Also, originally there were 4 tips that held the mirror to the frame. There is only one remaining and I have taped a clip that I got with it, to hold the mirror in place. When shipped I will detach the mirror with the 2 nuts that are used to hold frame to the box. You will most likely try to find a better way to keep the mirror solid. With the mirror it stands 9 1/2 inches tall. I have found some original pictures on the internet that I have included in photos that state its item number is 225 EZ. Please ask questions if you have any. Mirror has black spots.Please look at all photos and blow up as they are a huge part of the description and show dimensions. Thank you for looking.
