Description: A heavy solid wood full size duck decoy. From the estate of my brother in law; he purchased only birds from New Jersey (1970s) and Upper Chesapeake/ Havre de Grace (1980s/1990s) This bird is a mystery - the body is rough hewn and old school with a banjo tail (!). The head is smooth and appears to be a dabbling duck . The paint scheme is unusual and throwing me off. The only living duck ( other than a white farm domestic x mallard cross ) is an eider ( merganser at the farthest stretch ). 13.5 “ long ; 5” wide , 6.5 “ high ( including 1/2 “ lead weight ) If you stool experts have a better idea re: ID , let me know !!! Extra shipping cost to Alaska and Hawaii- please enquire.
