Description: For your consideration is this Antique? Vintage Black half slip or underskirt. I purchased this in 1981 along with a black velvet full-length skirt at an antique shop to wear for our town's Centennial celebration. It was worn several times then stored in a garment bag in the back of our spare closet. Now it is time for it to surface, once again. The slip is made of two fabrics- a sort of crepe at the top and a slicker fabric below. I am not an expert on fabrics. The waist closes with 2 black hook and eye fasteners. The measurements are Waist 31", Length 42" and the Circumference at the bottom is 54". I have found two holes which I have pictured for you; I do not see other flaws. I am not certain of the age of this item. It might be Antique or just very old vintage.
