Description: ANTIQUE VINTAGE AUTHENTIC BOCH FRERES KERAMIS GLAZED AND CRACKLE CERAMIC VASE CIRCA 1920'S ART DECO VASE 1920-1929 Designed by Charles Catteau Born Douai, France January 26, 1880. Died Nice, France 1966). French Art Deco Industrial Designer. Trained at the National Ceramics School in Sevres and followed a training course at the National Porcelain Factory. In 1904, Catteau was hired by the German Nymphenburg Porcelain Factory near Munich. In 1906 he moved to La Louviere and started to work for Boch Freres Keramis Belgium earthenware factory, located in La Louviere since the 19th Century. In 1907 he was appointed head of the Decoration Department and Workshop of Imaginative Design, where he remained until 1948. Catteau received a gold metal at the the Exhibition of Decorative and Industrial Arts in Paris 1925. Manufactured by Boch Keramis in Belgium.
