Description: T-2024 Antique Fan, Fächer, Éventail, Ventaglio, Abanico Legyezö, Leque, Ogi, Uchiwa Beautiful Ladies Victorian 19th Century French MOTHER OF PEARL & HANDPAINTED FIGURAL SCENE BRISE FAN. This Ladies Victorian fan is a lovely creamy colored lace fan with one hand painted medallion in the center with a lovely scene. It has 18 mother of pearls sticks. All the MOP sticks and the guards are elaborate inlaid gilded silver application (piqué work). The gilding is bright and almost completely intact. The Mother of Pearl has beautiful iridescent of rainbow colors in light. The sticks are connected with a metal ring loop and attached to the ring it has a lovely silk tassel. Wonderful craft man work!!! Date: Circa 1880 Origin: France Unsigned. Dimensions approx.: Totally open 16 1/8" (41 cm) Stick 8 1/4" (21.5 cm) Silk tassel long 10 1/4" (26 cm) Condition: Beautiful as pictured for its age and use. The silk / fabric medallion has some damage, shown in pictures. Both guard has been restored. The fan open and close appropriately . The item is SOLD AS IS, as we found. See!!
