Description: Antique Victorian American Mantle Clock Lion Foot Chime, Tested As Is Signed SC Parts or restoration. It does work a little but seems tightly wound & probably needs lubricant. Chimes work great . Most of the Ormolu is missing . Trim is beautifully marbleized but it looks like most of the black parts where painted long ago but later . There is inlay under the paint on the bottom section . The black painting is very well done but not original. Case & dial etc. In very good condition. One small wood chip at the very back of the top wood trim . The dial has a small hinge which is half detached. Not sure what it’s there for ? I guess for opening the front but you’d have to take the hands off first .
