Description: Has the small brass adjusting wheel and an 1888 patent date on the lateral lever. This is a Type 6 model made between 1888-1892. Front knob and handles are gorgeous Brazilian rosewood. No breaks or repairs. Some scratches and lacquer loss from use. Some japanning loss. Some scraping/scratches to sole especially around the mouth but nothing I dot think that will affect this tools functionality. Has obviously been a very well used tool over the years. I used it too. Dimensions are: 13 & 1/2" long and 2 & 3/8" wide. Perhaps the most interesting thing about this plane is the iron. The iron is a very rare bench plane style English-made I Sorby. It's the standard 2" wide. Very little use. Pretty much the full length left. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with any questions. Enjoy!
