Description: Tressemanes & Vogt (T&V France)Sugar Bow, Creamer, 8.5" Serving platePink and Yellow Flowers, Burgundy Trim, Gold Encrusted A very lovely hand-painted serving plate with matching sugar bowl and creamer, made by Tressemanes & Vogt (T&V) of Limoges, France. All 3 pieces are richly decorated with pink and yellow flowers with faint green leaves on a white background. There is a dark cherry or burgundy border, with gold encrusted scroll work around the rims and on the sugar and creamer handles and feet. This plate measures 8.5 inches wide across the middle. The sugar bowl is 5-1/8 inches long across the handles, 3.5 x 2.5 inches across the open rim, and 2-5/8 inches high at the end rims. The creamer is 5.25 inches long from spout tip to handle edge, 2.5 inches wide at the center of the rim, and 3-3/8 inches high at the top of the arched handle. All three pieces are in very good condition, with no chips, cracks, crazing, or browning. There is very faint wear to the gold trim right at the edges, most visible on the handle of the creamer (and still pretty minor, see closeup photos). I can see one brown speck in the glaze on the inside bottom of the creamer (visible in the photo that shows the inside of the 2 pieces), which is original to manufacture. There are no scratches or utensil marks that I can see. The pieces are quite beautiful, and make a really rich display. The sugar and creamer are not marked. The bottom of the plate has two marks. One is a red (or orange) bell mark with T&V France. The second mark is a green rectangle or shield with "T&V / France / Depose." According to Kovel's New Dictionary of Marks, T&V used the bell stamp from 1891 to 1907 and the rectangle with T&V from 1892 to 1917.
