This hand-hammered cup stand is made of solid silver, has a cylindrical, tapered foot, is finely hand chased with lotus flowers among scrolling patterns, and three gilded medallions with engraved Padma (lotus). The platform dish is made in the form of eight lotus petals, it is hand embossed and engraved in a floral and scrolling pattern. Hand-hammered and embossed solid silver lid in the form of a Buddhist stupa is decorated with hand-engraved scrolls and auspicious symbols. The upper part is elaborately decorated with three hand-chiseled and pierced panels comprising Buddhist auspicious symbols. The top, in the form of a rosette formed of petals, is jeweled with a globular carnelian stone finial. CONDITION: In good condition, showing age and use, porcelain bowl with minor chips on the rim. MEASUREMENTS: Height: 15 cm (5.91 inches). Diameter of the platform (dish): 12 cm (4.7 inches). Weight of the silver stand and cover: 200 grams.
