Description: Original Stickley Bros Mission Oak chair. It has a full-size seat however, the back is shorter than a dining chairs. It was probably a sewing chair, but would make a great shoe tying chair in the bedroom! The seat looks original & is professionally installed with it's own shallow recess. I'm guessing it's the “sub" seat for extra support, and the top cover is missing. It's perfectly sturdy just as it is, although there is an outer groove for another covering above it. Also, I don't believe the replacement stretcher is oak, although it does blend in well (pic 9) The seat is 18.5" wide at the front, 14.5" wide at the rear; the depth is 16.5", the seat height is 17.5" and the overall height of the back of the chair is 31".
