Description: Offered here is a very fine ANTIQUE STANLEY LOW ANGLE BLOCK PLANE, NUMBER 61, WITH TURNBULL'S 10-12-1897 PIVOT LOCK LEVER CAP PATENT DATE AND THE NAME "STANLEY" CAST INTO THE REAR ADJUSTMENT KNOB. In addition, this plane has the early arched STANLEY RULE 7 LEVER CO. IMPRINT on the cutting iron. This fine low angle plane measures 6 inches long with a 1-3/8 inch cutting iron. Very little of the nickel plated trimming is left, but on the cast iron there is no rust or pitting, cracks or chips. The number 61 is cast into the base of the plane, just in front of the heal. This is a very scarce and desirable early STANLEY LOW ANGLE BLOCK PLANE. Great for your antique tool collection. See photos for additional details. Any questions, please ask.
