Description: Charming and rare early Staffordshire porcelain figurine of a man, possibly a Christian or a soldier, fighting a lion. It looks like the lion is winning. My wife thought they are playing, maybe if it was a dog. It's not. Definitely a lion. Circa mid 1800s. I did a lot of research on this and could not find any mention, any photos, etc. of this figure. 2 1/2" tall x 2 1/2 " long.
