Trim and lining are an elaborate faux tortoise shell veneer. The hinged cover has a carved thumb lift and a 3/8” oval Mother of Pearl inset. Cover fits tight. As found. Near perfection to a collector’s eye. The oval ends have chipping in the veneer. A nick at edge of hinge.
