Description: Fabulous! Antique Small Silver Shoe Trinket Box with pink rhinestone studs on the bottom of the heel. The Box represents a well worn old leather lace up shoe, wrinkled and folded. It opens at the bottom to reveal a cavity for a keepsake. Could not locate marks and believe it’s 800 silver but possible it is quality Silver Plate. Good weight and measures approximately 2 3/4” long x 1 1/2” wide. Shows well in the photos and even better in person! The photos are part of our description. Tremendous workmanship and detail. Very realistic. And very clever to design as a box! A shoe with a secret compartment!! Dates to the late 19th century to the early 20th century. Is in very good condition. Hinges and lid (sole of shoe) are in perfect working order. The old Silver Shoe has an aged patina (tarnish) and normal expected surface scratches from wear and use. Phoebus taken with and without a camera flash.
