Description: This is a very nice Antique Meiji period Satsuma button, from about 1890. It is 35mm wide or 1 3/8" and 10mm deep. It is hand painted with a beautiful landscape of a river scene, with a house in the foreground, a bridge, then a pagoda, with Mt. Fuji in the background. Signed on the back. It has Gold lustre, highlighting different details, all over the button. It is in good+ condition with a small chip to the back, where it is sewn onto clothing.
