Description: Antique Primitive Embossed Star MAPLE SUGAR Chocolate Candy MOLD TIN, Germany Click images to enlarge Description ANTIQUE MOLD Neat antique primitive oblong oval and ribbed tin maple sugar, candy or chocolate mold measuring about 4" long, 2-1/2" wide and 1" deep. Designed for chocolate or similar food items, it is embossed with a stylized star on the top - unmarked, but probably German in origin, dating early 1900s - there is a faint original price of 10 cents written on the top. Condition is very nice with a wonderful aged patina to the metal - no rust, dents, holes, or damage - lots of rubbing to the raised decoration and darkening to the tin - rather crudely pierced on one end for hanging.
