Description: Up for consideration is an Antique Primitive Blue Beige Stoneware Fish Scale, Swirl, Mixing Bowl Crock 9.5”. This bowl is in good condition, to me it's in very good condition for its age, a true antique. I included many pictures for you to decide for yourself, for it has a few flaws: It has one maybe two chips (see pic 3 & 4), pic 3 shows chip on blue fish scale rim, Pic 4 shows small chip on inner rim where the faded blue is, the other "chips" are actually skips in the finish (see pics 2 & 4), the larger place on the rim seen in pic 4 & 9 is not a chip but a skip. Any crack is due to crazing (pic 13 & 14) and are only through the surface, no cracks that go all the way through, measures 9 1/2" across X 4" tall. This crock bowl is an unusual and charming one of a kind, the fish scale design around the rim and the swirl bottom are so unique and artistic. The faded blue on the inside represents the primitive way the bowl was made. I am glad and sad to sell it; sad because I'll never own another like this one, glad because someone that appreciates it will get it.
