Description: This is a very rare find from an estate sale. I had a hard time finding another one like this one. These were made in England around the middle of the 1700’s. The bottom is marked or incised with A23/B55 and everything checks out as far as color aging the vent hole on the handle crazing and all. The top is marked with the number c31 and the last thing that checks out is the rattle inside the pottery of the lid. This is in incredible condition for its age. The paint is a thick lead glaze that was made to last. The teapot does have crazing and I found one small crack inside otherwise this is a museum item. I do have a smaller creamer that I am selling as well. Back in England only the richest could afford pineapple pottery like this. They would take pictures with the pottery and adore it. Very very awesome find. I am listing this at a fair price or if this doesn’t sell I may take the item to auction. The size is in photos attached but is 9.5” tall by 8” wide and 6” deep. The teapot weighs about 3 pounds.
