Description: Up for bid is an antique Pittsburgh reverse painted boudoir lamp. The 6 1/2" linenfold shade is reverse painted with a beautiful lake and trees scene. The shade is free of any chips, cracks or repairs. This shade sits on the base and stands 14" tall. It is equipped with a single original Bryant pull chain socket. It is signed 2221. This is a lamp that is not seen for sale very often. It is in working condition, wear commensurate with age. It has been rewired at sometime with a brown cloth period cord and old plug. The shipping cost to the Midwest and far west is so much more than what I have to deal with here in the Northeast. I have struggled with doing this as I didn't want to lose my bidders/buyers west of me but it just adds up to too much money in the long run. Please understand I do this very reluctantly, as such, I am adding 20% to anything being shipped to zip codes that begin with the number 5,6 or 7 and 33% to anything being shipped to zip codes 8 and 9. Example $85.00 regular shipping cost to zip code that begin with 0, 1, 2, 3 and 4 is just that $85.00. Zip codes that begin with 5,6 or 7 would be $85.00 times 20% which equals $17.00 which is added to the $85.00 and becomes $102.00. Zip codes that begin with 8 or 9 would be $85.00 times 33% which is $28.05 which then becomes $113.05. Your invoice will be adjusted to your zip code. These items are commensurate with age, meaning they are old. Chances are if there aren't any, it's a newer item and you shouldn't want it anyways. In other words, a minor blemish on some metalwork belonging to a large shade or a 1/16 by 1/16 of a paint flake missing, please try and be reasonable. I really don't want to do a refund because the finial ( typically a 10.00 piece ) isn't perfect on a 2,000.00 lamp. I always describe the important aspects towards condition reports and sometimes my eye misses what I deem immaterial issues such as the aforementioned sentence. It seems the more experienced an antique dealer or buyer is, the more understanding of condition they are.
