Description: Antique P. H. Mourey gilt metal mantel clock with blue Roman numerals on its white porcelain dial and bell chime. Resting on six feet, the clock is approximately 15½” wide x approximately 6½” deep x approximately 18¾” high. The clocks floral and leaf décor surrounds a male cherub that stands on the left side of the clock and a female cherub holding a dove that lies in repose on the right side of the clock. The stamped name “P. H. Mourey” followed by the stamped number “79” are located on the lower back of the clock. The clock works bear the stamped initials “G. F.” surrounded by a stamped oval and the stamped number “30” is located near the oval. The rear plate that covers the opening for the clock works has the stamped initials “G F” on its rim followed by the stamped number “50”. The decorative pieces on the clock show age related wear but are not damaged. There is a large chip on the clocks porcelain dial by the right winder as well as other wear on the porcelain dial. The clocks gilt finish shows age related wear and there are several cracks in the rear of the clock near its base. The decorative floral piece that should be on the left side of the drum shaped case behind the standing male cherub is missing from the clock. I cannot state with certainty if the clock is or is not missing any other decorative pieces. The clock is also missing its pendulum and winding key and the large clock hand is missing from the porcelain dial. I cannot state if the clock is or is not in working order because there is no pendulum or winding key for the clock. The clock weighs 20 pounds, 11 ounces. A receiving signature will be required upon delivery.
