Description: ANTIQUE EARLY 1900s VICTORIAN ERA, OSTBY & BARTON INC., USA, 14K YELLOW GOLD, ORNATELY DESIGNED, PERSONALLY ENGRAVED SCRIPT LETTERS "IO" INITIALS NAME MONOGRAM, MEN'S SIGNET / PINKY BAND RING IN A US SIZE 12.25 or 12-1/4, TOP SETTING MEASURES 1/2" x 5/8" WIDE, ENGRAVED SETTING IS 1/16" THICK, SHANK IS 1/8" WIDE, TOTAL WEIGHT OF 9.3 GRAMS It is personally engraved on the top with the script initials IO, otherwise, it shows normal wear from use and handling, including light surface marks and scratches. It has been gently hand polished and cleaned in a mild dish soap, and it has nice shine, and is very clean. It is straight and round, not bent out of shape, has no other personal monograms or engravings, with no major issues at all. It is hallmarked on the inside in a recessed rectangle OB 14K, mark for historic and listed USA fine jeweler, Ostby & Barton Inc., of Providence, Rhode Island. It was measured with a professional ring mandrel at a US size 12.25 or 12-1/4. HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE: The last photo shown was taken from a 1920s edition of a Jewelry and Trademark catalog and fully documents this mark and maker.
