Description: Antique old patina from age and use over many years. Everything seems to work fine and it is adjustable in a few places to make adjustments to the book thickness and size. It is just missing an identical piece of wood just like the piece of wood attached to the arm with the spring. There should be 2 pieces of wood or boards. There is only the one, as you can see. It would be easy to simply cut a piece of wood and screw it to the arm, and make it identical to the present one. This press (measuring the board) measures about 7 3/4 x 13 1/4 . inches . It is larger if you measure the clamp too. Which is about 11 x 13 1/4 x 7-8 inches tall. This is a very u usual early piece for the collector. I tried googling it and saw no others like it.
