Description: ANTIQUE ‘NORITAKE’ ART DECO PATTERN ON DISH W/ HANDLES 1911-1921 A beautiful handpainted vegetable dish with handles, an Art Nouveau border and floral center. It is in great condition, as you can see there has been little wear to the design and gold trim over the years. The backstamp was used used in 1911-1921. The ‘M” is for "Morimura", in a wreath, crowned by "Hand painted". Noritake first produced dinnerware for the American market in 1914. From my 99yr old mother-in-law who received her uncle’s collectibles in the 1970’s. He was an avid collector of mustard pots with spoons, dishes and misc. items from the 1800’s and early 1900’s. All were received from family or purchased from estates and antique shops across the country. Some have factory mark and all are from the 1800’s and early 1900’s. Has been kept in a glass cabinet when not using in a non-smoking home and is in great condition.
