Antique New Haven Westminster Chime Mantle Clock ~ Nice Condition ~ To Restore

Description: Antique New Haven Westminster Chime Mantle Clock ~ Nice Condition ~ To Restore Antique New Haven Westminster Chime Mantle Clock ~ Nice Condition ~ To Restore Click images to enlarge Description View My Other Items For Sale Visit My eBay Store Add me to your Favorite Sellers This nice looking clock was made by the New Haven Clock Company in New Haven, Conn., USA, right around 100 years ago. The last patent date on the movement is 1923. It has a very complicated (signed New Haven) movement that is mechanically sound and complete. We are selling this clock in "as is, as found "condition as it has not been serviced by us. We have wound it up and find that it runs, at least for awhile, and chimes, but the movement hasn't been cleaned in many years so may require service. The westminster chimes sound very nice. The case is in good condition, still maintaining the nicely aged original finish. As seen in the pictures, it shows very well when on the shelf or mantle. It is a nice size clock, measuring 20 ½" long x 10" high x 7" deep. In case you are not familiar with Westminster Chimes, these are the ones that play a tune every 15 minutes; 4 notes on the quarter; 8 notes on the ½ hour; 12 notes at the ¾ hour; and then the full 16 note tune on the hour, followed by the hour toll, i.e. 1 toll at 1:00, 2 tolls at 2:00, etc. The silvered dial with raised brass numerals, solid brass bezel and glass crystal are also nicely aged and all in good condition. This clock comes complete with a key and pendulum. Payment If your payment needs to be delayed, that will be fine as long as you stay in close contact with us and send it when you say you're going to. We accept Paypal, plus others. Any payment that requires time to process (clear) will delay shipping. Email us with questions concerning other forms of payment. Shipping Most clocks will be shipped within 5 business days of received payment. We like to give each clock sold a final test run and observation before packing. This helps ensure that the new owner will have a satisfying experience. All items are carefully packaged with around 1 ½" of packing material between your purchase and the box. All items are shipped insured. We never anticipate damage but in the event that an incident occurs, we will help with insurance claims as much as possible. Be very sure to save all packaging material if there is a problem. Normally, all shipping costs are based on actual price for estimated weight plus a minimal fee for packaging material and insurance. In rare instances there may be a flat rate shipping price quoted. Smaller items can be combined to save shipping costs. Because clocks require large boxes, Priority Mail is expensive. We quote FedEx prices in most cases. *For any shipments other than the lower 48 United States, contact us first for a shipping quote before bidding. Do not go by the shipping calculator.* Terms of Sale All sales are final (with the exception noted below). We try to keep an excellent feedback rating by being fair and honest. We try to describe all items accurately so that you pretty much know exactly what to expect when your purchase arrives. It should be understood before bidding that all antique clocks, unless otherwise noted, have nicks, scratches, tarnished brass, stains and dents which are normally acquired from long term honest use. It is nearly impossible to find one in "mint" condition. If a clock has damage from misuse, it will be noted. If a clock is sold as "in running condition," it means that we have test run it before listing it and feel confident that it will run for you. If a clock is running properly when it arrives, that is about the best we can do. We cannot guarantee that a clock will not break down, but will not sell anything that we expect to break down without noting that it is being sold as parts or for restoration. In the event that you are not happy, please first go back and read the description to make sure that the item was not misrepresented, and then email us. If we missed seeing some hidden damage, we will refund your money, both purchase price and shipping both ways. *This does NOT include items sold as parts, not working or "as is." All sales for this type of item are final.* About Us Mainly, we buy, sell, repair, restore and collect clocks. Once in awhile we do offer other types of antiques and collectibles for sale, but mainly clocks are what we're about. We spend quite a bit of time traveling around the northeast buying clocks and clock parts, and many times we are able to buy large quantities from clock collector estates or clock dealers who are downsizing or closing out altogether. We are a very small, family run enterprise.. Ben handles all repairs in house. He has been restoring clocks since 1976, and a member of the National Association of Watch and Clock Collectors since 1978. Jen and Lana handle all of the pictures, listings, marketing and design, as well as some of the restoration work. We all help out in the packing and shipping department and are dedicated to making sure your clock is packaged carefully and properly in order to arrive safely. We also send an instruction sheet by email for each clock sold. Contact Us You may notice that since joining eBay in 2000 our feedback has been positive. We only receive feedback about a third of the time, which means we have actually had several thousand positive transactions over the past 20 years that are not recorded in the feedback system. We would prefer not to deal with anyone who might consider leaving us a negative feedback. We try to describe everything exactly as it is and if we do something wrong, we will make it right. That being said, rather than give us a bad feedback, first give us a chance to return your money. If you email us on Saturday, it may not be until Monday before you hear back from us. We do not use our computers on Sunday, the Lord's day, but will answer any emails Monday through Saturday and do whatever we can to resolve any problems. Please do not wait until late in an auction to ask questions (we may not be here). *Also, please do not ask us to falsify shipping records for international shipping. Honesty is always the best policy.* Pictures sell! Auctiva offers Free Image Hosting and Editing.300+ Listing Templates! Auctiva gets you noticed! The complete eBay Selling Solution.
