Description: Antique Mount Washington Hand Painted Burmese or Opalware Art Glass Melon Shaped Sugar Shaker with Screw Top Lid c 1890 A sought after shaker from the golden age of Mount Washington. I believe this is the Hawthorne pattern. The design isn't as strikingly vibrant as some of the museum pieces you can see in the guide books, but it is still a thing of beauty! Measurements: 2" H x 2 5/8" W x 2 5/8" L ~4.2 oz Condition: Very good antique condition. No noticed chips, cracks or damage. Has some normal wear for age. Paint is aged and not as bright as it once was. There is a sort of lighter colored ridge along the center of the shaker that can be felt and appears to have been part of the way it was produced as it's under the paint. The shaker top has an antiqued color and appears to be in good condition. Please see all photos.
