Description: Stunning antique beaded c1912 Victorian handbag. This large purse has an embossed frame frame. The handbag is made of colorful glass beads on an iridescent sparkly jet black background. The hand beading features a stunning rose floral motif, wonderful fringe trim. Lined with a rose colored iridescent silk, with 2 pockets, in one pocket is a mirror that is backed with the same fabric as the lining. This beautiful bag is in excellent condition, there are no missing beads I can find. The silk lining is in very good condition, the kiss lock clasp closes tightly. There is some discoloration on the metal frame and tarnish-I have not cleaned or polished-as shown. The purse measures 7.25 inches wide at the base, 11 inches long (18 inches including the handle). Given the age of the bag, I am selling it as a collectors piece, and cannot guarantee durability for use as a handbag. Please view photos carefully for details, they are part of the description.
