Description: This listing is for a set of 3 small plates (bread and butter, salad, or dessert plates). They were made by Blakeman and Henderson, Limoges and were produced around 1900, according to the markings on the underside. Each plate features dainty pink flowers and gold paint. The rim is scalloped and embossed. There are condition issues that can be seen in the photos. One plate has a visible chip to the rim. Others havechips on the underside. Some of the gold paint is faded. No cracks or crazing. The plates are 6 3/8 inches in diameter and each weigh about 4 ounces. They are thin and translucent, as canbe seen in photo 11. You can clearly see the back stamps from the front in the light. Beautiful pieces of a time long ago.
