Description: FINE AND UNUSUAL ANTIQUE KURDISH BIDJAR TRIBAL LONG RUG, Size : 3' 10" x 8' 2" A WONDERFUL COLLECTORS ESTATE PIECE Size : 3' 10" x 8' 2" long rug. size varies some in this rug as it is a little crooked. A great estate find here. The rug is over 100 years old. Has very pleasing colors and nice open medallion field. The pile is very low, but mostly even. Few repairs. As you can see the brown dye has various degrees of oxidation right down to the foundation.(Oxidation) You typically will find this on many 19th c. rugs. As a collector, I can live with this. The ends and sides look good.We did NOT clean it.I do recommend a good cleaning of all estate rugs when going from one estate to the next. Should be done . A great piece for the money.
