Description: A nice Japanese Edo period boxwood Netsuke of an Ashinaga beating on a drum, likely late 18th or early 19th Century. Detail is fine for size and is apparently unsigned. Very good condition overall with normal surface wear, patina from age, scattered small smoothed down areas from handling, rub marks from when it was used located on back of waist cloth,etc. Figure is sturdy and ready to display.
