Description: A nice privy dug Civil War Era bottle which the last owner states was dug in Florence, Alabama. The glass has a nice blue hue to it and has developed some iridescence which we are finding nearly impossible to photograph. We're not bottle experts but this appears to be iron pontil due to the absence of mold hinge marks on the bottom while having a round fairly clean depression and uneveness to the glass thickness, particularly near the base. 8 3/4 inches tall, 3 1/2 inches wide, approximately 1 3/4 inches thick. We carefully prepare all glass for safe shipping.
