Description: A very nice Hobbs No.341 sapphire/blue opalescent finger lamp with a blue applied handle. The lamp has a No.1 Taplin-Brown collar and fitted with a P&A "O" size slip burner, thumbwheel reads: "P&A MFG CO, JAN 16 1883". The burner is fitted with a 2" slip fitter chimney with a piecrust opening, 6 3/4" tall. This beautiful snowflake oil lamp was manufactured by Hobbs, Brockunier & Co., Wheeling, West Virginia 1881. Measures 2 3/4" to top of collar, 4"x4" square outer border of font, 3"x3" square base. Reference Thuro Book 2, pg.104, fig.c. Excellent overall condition with no chips or cracks, vibrant blue, clean and crystal clear, opalescent snowflake pattern is crisp and well delineated. On close inspection I did find a very small factory flea-bite on the applied handle (as made, no problem). Burner is in great shape, clean, free of dents, splits,breaks, or repairs. Chimney is clean and crystal clear, no chips or cracks, damage free.
