A scalloped Shield surmounted by a Great Helm and gorget decorated with a Maned Lions head over foliage . The supporters are the classic choice of a Lion 'rampant , regardant' on the left and a Swan 'displayed' on the right . On the shield a four legged animal is visible in a simple line etch . The beast sit on a level plain underpinned by a floral flourish . The background is textured and the plates border is wrung by a well worn repeating scrolling flourish . This plate is old .
