Description: This is a beautiful antique vegetable serving bowl made by Henry Alcock in the Stratford pattern. The bowl is made of ivory stoneware. It has a brown aesthetic design with a Japanese-inspired motif of ribbons and plants. The bowl measures 9 1/8 inches by 6 3/4 inches. The bottom of the bowl is incised with the diamond style British registry mark. Based on this mark, the bowl was produced in June 1883. The bowl is in very good condition. It shows some wear and discoloration in the glaze from age and gentle use. There are two tiny knicks in the glaze along one edge.
