Antique Heisey Recessed Panels 9.5" Candy / Apothecary Jar or Canister MINT

Description: This is a wonderful jar made for home use which is not as rare as the larger commercial jars that were made for general stores with pharmacies or soda fountains. I have one of those up for auction as well, very rare. This is the next to largest size for the home. It stands about 9.5 inches tall and has an opening diameter of 4 inches in width. Sorry about all the glare and reflections in the photos. The jar and the lid are in mint condition: free of any chips, cracks, scratches or repairs. The lid had been taped to the base for decades, and I removed the tape, and I think I got most of the residue from the tape. Mentioned just for complete accuracy. Wouldn’t this look lovely filled with jellybeans for Easter? The H in the turned rectangle is on the bottom, but it is very faint. I had to put on my reading glasses and get it at just the right angle in just the right lighting to see it, but it is there.This is in the recessed panel pattern and is plain with none of those etchings which I find rather tacky, but to each their own. This beauty that is over 100 years old has survived for you to enjoy in your collection. It is priced to sell today.
