Description: Antique Hand Carved Wooden Cat Bottle Stopper Glass Eyes Black Forest Hand Painted Black Forest Style Features:This is an antique folk art carving of a cat in a beret. This one is made to use as a bottle stopper or to just display. The shapes and details as well as the glass eyes lead me to believe it is a black forest carving but I have no way to prove that. It is heavily detailed, the fur is meticulously carved. It has green glass eyes, a red beret hat and bowtie and believe may have had a parking paint on the cat at one time but is now fades with age. Size:It measures about 2 5/8” tall x 13/16” in diameter at the bottom. The head is about 1 1/2” x 1 1/4” Condition:It is in excellent condition. The only thing wrong that I can see is that one of the eyes is cracked.
