Description: Antique Solid Brass Door Mail Letter Slot Vintage JCSMakers mark to reverse - JCS, the mark for James Cartland and Son, the respected Birmingham brass foundry operating from the early 19th century up to 1955.Very nice solid brass letter slot. Stamped JCS on back. Beautiful casting of griffins and detailed decoration. Givingg it a Victorian goth look. Lettering is amazingly detailed. Casting is crisp and clean. Measures approximately 8 3/4" x 3" overall. Slot measures 5" x 1 1/4". Does not come with bolts but can be easily purchased. I will pack in a box and put box in a priority padded envelope.
