Description: Antique Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co (G & S Co) Peacock Decanter Statue / Figurine with Ruby Red Eyes - Stunning Condition! Measurements are 13”x3.75”x3.5”. It is marked G & S Co 112. The company used this business name & similar markers from the time it was established in 1880 until 1898 when they rebranded as Goldsmiths & Silversmiths Co Ltd. I believe the mark “112” refers to their original location of 112 Regent Street, London. I could not find a marker on the item confirming the type of metal used or the material for the eyes. The metal doesn’t appear to respond to a small jewelry magnet either so my best assumption is that it is Regent Plate (thicker silver plate) and that the eyes are made of glass.
