Description: Fantastic antique Mauthe alarm clock. Very rare model. It is also very rare to have the early Mauthe eagle logo on the face of a clock. The logo was adopted by an infamous regime not king after this clock was made. Speaking of which, this clock was likely made 1910-1929 or so. Probably the 20’s. I’m not a clock guy and I don’t understand exactly how this clock works. That said I did wind the clock a bit. The gears turn freely, and it did run for a little while, the alarm also sounded. I didn’t want to turn it too much so it just ran for around 30 seconds and then I left it alone. The glass is scuffed in one spot, the minute hand has some minor losses to the material that fills its negative space, some type of paper I assume, the back of the clock is a bit oxidized. It looks really good from the front and sides though. Minor wear to sides and minor oxidization to top bell. Overall it looks nice for its age. It’s a rare find overall and has the iconic antique alarm clock look. Estate fresh piece, ships ASAP! Thanks
