Description: Buy with Confidence! H. Stewart H. Antiques has been selling on eBay since 1998! Let me preface this by saying - I know nothing about clocks - my description is parroting what others have told me about this clock and my research into the marks - for obvious reasons - this clock is not returnable - so please ask your questions and I will do my best. VERY HEAVY over 7 lbs on my postal scale - I have wound it very lightly - it did tick away - the pendulum swinging and it did ring a chime - I have no idea if it keeps time or not - I have no idea if it will continue to run - I was told these works were probably Japy Freres - please note the damage to the enamel clock face - there are also a few chips and small areas of loss to the floral decoration - very minor considering the detail. Measures 14 x 10 x 5 inches - marked with the green anchor of Vion & Baury Sevres rue de Paradis Poissonniere - Gilles Jeune Porcelain - mark in use: 1868-1890 Paris - retains pendulum and key - Buyer will pay actual shipping - assume it will need a crate. *I will do my absolute best to describe each item as accurately as possible and to the best of my knowledge. That being said, please note that my items are vintage, often unique and unless otherwise noted not in mint or new condition, light wear consistent with age and use must be expected. Please read the description carefully and don't hesitate to email with any questions. I want you to be happy with your purchase and will do everything possible to make this a positive experience.
