Description: A family heirloom. If only a glove box could speak! The box belonged to my husbands' great aunt Viola. She was a singer in Vaudeville (we have her fabulous scrapbook) and was known as the 'Black eyed Beauty with the Beautiful Voice'. This antique glove box was manufactured by the Flemish Art Co. New York. Pyrography trademark features two bears holding a shield sign. Within the sign it reads 'Flemish Quality is Standard' with the number 632. Pyrography detailed rose design. Painted in reds, oranges, greens and browns. Early 20th century. Perhaps older. As stated above, this box needs a little TLC if you so choose. All of the hinges are original. The back hinges are supported with paperclips. So the lid is a bit loose. The front clasp is original, but it is loose, and the wood around the clasp has been chipped. The photos will show you the true condition of this piece. Measures: 12-1/2" x 5" x 3-1/4" Weighs: 12.9 oz. All items are packaged with great care. Returns are accepted. Questions? Ask away!
