Description: VINTAGE CIRCA 1920s ART DECO ERA, F.A. HERMANN CO., USA STERLING SILVER 925, ENAMEL GUILLOCHE, HAND PAINTED VIOLET FLOWER DESIGN MOTIF, PIN BAR / BROOCH IT IS BEING SOLD IN AS-IS, FOR REPAIR CONDITION, AS PART OF THE ENAMEL ON THE END IS BROKEN OFF AND DAMAGED NO PERSONAL MONOGRAMS OR ENGRAVINGS, MEASURES 1-9/16" x 9/16", TOTAL WEIGHT OF 4.2 GRAMS It is being sold in AS-IS, for repair condition, as part of the enamel surface on the end side is broken off and damaged. Otherwise, it shows normal wear from use and handling, including minor marks and scratches. It has been gently hand polished and cleaned, and it has nice shine and is very clean. It is straight, not bent out of shape, has nice color and finish to the existing enamel, back pin is tight and secure, and has no personal monograms or engravings. It is hallmarked on the back STERLING, along with the letter H inside a triangle shape, mark for historic and listed USA Silversmith, F.A. Hermann Co. of Melrose Highlands, Massachusetts. They are well known for their enamel guilloche fine Silver like this. HISTORICAL FOOTNOTE: The last photo shown was taken from a 1920s edition of a Jewelry Trademark catalog and completely documents this mark and maker.
